| Description: | Chun (the name comes from a character in a story by Jack Vance) is a file integrity checker similar to TripWire, Osiris, and Samhain. Chun differs from these other fine programs by eschewing the cumbersome configuration file and/or make file: instead you modify the cumbersome source code, so it helps to know some Ruby. Chun has been tested on Mandrake and Gentoo Linux. One of these days I will test it on Windows as well. If you don't throttle it, Chun takes about five minutes to scan a full distro. You don't need to install it. The only requirement is Ruby. |
